Today's Card - Kiki La Rue Sweet (CC Designs)

I've rediscovered my CC Designs stamps, in particular this one, Kiki La Rue Sweet.  She is such a sweet stamp and is just totally gorgeous to colour and I think she looks amazing done in these colours.

Hope you like it as much as I had fun making it.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #36

Well, every time I seem to want to sit down and enter a challenge it seems life gets in the way or I lose my mojo - I can't seem to win!!  Anyway, today I managed to get a Kenny K image coloured for their latest challenge "Lace, Ribbons, Bows" - You can use one, two or all three, as long as somewhere on your card there is at least one of them.

I decided that I would make a pizza box to enter - it's my daughter's birthday next week and she just loves these images so she's requested that her invitations and her "lolly bags" (the pizza box) be all Kenny K - not bad for an 8th birthday hey lol?

I chose "All That" and coloured her with Crayola pencils and solvent.

Hope this post finds everyone well and happy.

Card box with drawers

This is a card with an attached box with four drawers - the card is attached to the top.  I learnt to make this at a class run by a friend of mine, Vicki.  You should go check out her blog.

It was made for my friend Tracey's youngest daughter Grace after I had made one for her older sister Sophie for her birthday and Grace sat mesmerised, pulling the drawers in and out for what seemed like hours .....

The drawers are super cute and perfect for putting little trinkets and/or money/gift cards.

I just love these Swiss Pixie stamps - they are so much fun to colour.

Used:
Papers:  SU! Pink Passion, Pixie Pink & Kiwi Kiss CS, Basic Gray PP, Tissue paper, Cardboard (for base and drawers)
Stamps: Swiss Pixie Heidi, SU! Short and Sweet, Judi Kiss Old World Damask (background stamp)
Other:    SU! Regal Rose 3/8" grosgrain ribbon, SU! Oval scallop punch, beads and Heidi Grace pins (drawer handles), SU! Pixie Pink Ink, brown ink.  Coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and solvent.

Vintage Shabby Card

Well as promised, here is a card that I made over the weekend for A Spoonful of Sugar challenge #142 "Anything with a Vintage/Shabby Theme".  I wasn't sure whether I wanted to enter or not because this is not my usual style of card.  As much as I love the style of Shabby/Vintage I can never seem to get it together lol.  But then I thought I'd give it a go because I can only improve can't I?  I'm still trying to find the best camera setting and location to take my photoes so I apologise for the quality - I guess it's like like everything isn't it, practice makes perfect .... Anyway, I hope you like it and thanks for looking ....

Used:
Papers:  SU! Pear Pizzaz CS, Webster's Pages & Prima PP, Basic Gray from stash
Ribbon:  SU! Lace & burgundy pearl from stash
Other:    Handmade Paper flowers, pearls, ink and Tim Holtz Distress Stickles

HI AND WELCOME ...

Welcome to my blog and cheers to my first post.  I am in the process of entering 3 or 4 challenges with some cards I have created so will hopefully post them shortly ..... I just wanted to jump on and say hi ....  Hopefully my blog will be filled with lots of yummy handmade creations like cards, off-the-page projects (bags and boxes, mini albums and handmade flowers) and scrapbook pages.

Being an avid cook I hope to keep you updated on all the yummy food we prepare and the fun times we have around it ....  I got my love of cooking from my Mum, Krystyna, who sadly left my side 4 years ago but is with me in spirit and soul every minute of every day (as is my dear Dad who joined his "Krissie" in 2009).  So many of my childhood memories are of our family and friends and my Mum's beautiful food and I hope to continue on in her honour.

So, thanks for visiting and I hope to have some photoes and interesting stories to tell in future posts. xoxo
